Camps Bay is an affluent suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, and the small bay on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula after which it is named. In summer it attracts many South African and foreign visitors, known for its fine white sand, natural rock swimming pool and views of the Twelve Apostles mountains and picturesque crystal blue ocean views.
Many of the Luxury Villas and serviced apartments have spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, Lions Head, and the 12 Apostles Mountain Range, and are a short walk or drive to the World Famous Camps Bay Strip that contains many World-class gourmet restaurants, nightclubs, and of course the Palm tree lined White sands on Camps Bay beach.
Camps Bay Beach, a Blue Flag Beach since 2008, is the largest white sand beach in Camps Bay. There is a seasonal lifeguard station with toilets at the west end of the beach. The beach is opposite Camps Bay's main tourist hub, featuring multiple hotels, restaurants, and shops.
Glen Beach, at the far right of Camps Bay beach, is known as Camps Bay's best-surfing beach. Short, fast rides and a small take-off area makes Glen Beach one of the hardest of Cape Town's beach breaks to surf and has resulted in a strong local atmosphere.
Camps Bay offers a convenient location only minutes away from Table Mountain cableway, a short 15 minutes drive to the City Centre, 20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, 30 minutes from the airport, 45 minutes to the Cape Winelands, and 60 minutes from Cape Point.
“The high level of service and attention to detail was most impressive and appreciated, the service from start to finish was excellent. The sea views were amazing and the accommodation was lovely, not to mention our host was very friendly and professional.”
